Written for GDPR and UK GDPR. This is a plain-language draft, not a substitute for legal review.
1. Who is responsible for your data
The data controller is Reetle. The registered controller entity and its address are confirmed here as the commercial setup is finalised; until then, the email contact below is the official channel. Every request about your data goes to info@ereetle.com and is honoured within 30 days.
2. What we collect, and why
- Waitlist: your first name (optional), email address, and country. Used only to send the launch email and occasional product updates. Legal basis: your consent, given with the signup checkbox.
- Pre-orders: name, delivery address, email, and payment confirmation (we never see full card numbers; the payment provider handles those). Legal basis: performing the contract with you.
- Support email: whatever you write to us, used to answer you. Legal basis: our legitimate interest in running support.
3. Where it is stored
Waitlist and customer data live in our own CRM. Payment data is processed by the payment provider named at checkout.
4. What we do not do, and cookies
We do not sell your data. We do not share it with advertisers. We do not add you to the waitlist from a support email.
We do set cookies, but only necessary ones by default. Statistics and marketing cookies (for example aggregate analytics and ad measurement) load only if you accept those categories in the cookie banner. If you do not accept them, they are never set. The full inventory, and how to change your choice, is on the cookies page.
5. Recordings and the app
The Reetle app has its own privacy policy, shown before first use, covering how audio is processed for transcription and what Private Mode keeps on the device. In short: Private Mode recordings never leave the device, and we never sell or share recordings.
6. How long we keep it
Waitlist data: until launch plus 12 months, or until you unsubscribe, whichever is first. Order data: as long as tax law requires invoices to be kept. Support email: 24 months after the last message.
7. Your rights
You can ask for a copy of your data, correct it, delete it, restrict its use, or take it elsewhere. Email info@ereetle.com and we act within 30 days. You can also complain to your national data protection authority.
