What we work for, in plain words.
A short page, because the work matters more than the wall of statements about it.
Mission
To put the back of every phone to work.
The front of a phone is built to pull your attention in. The back is just glass, sitting against the table. We make a hub that turns that wasted surface into something useful (a place to record, to read, to keep the day's plan visible) without unlocking the front.
That is the work. One hub at a time.
Vision
A phone you don't need to unlock to do the most useful work of your day.
We picture a world where the most important moments (capturing an idea, taking the meeting notes, reading the chapter on the train) don't start with a swipe and a notification storm. The phone stays in the pocket. The work happens anyway.
We are not trying to replace your phone. We are trying to give you a way to use less of it.
Values
Five rules we keep, even when nobody is watching.
Values pages are usually a list of nouns nobody can disagree with. We tried to write the opposite: concrete commitments paired with the things we have decided not to do. That way you can hold us to both.
Plain language, always.
We talk to people, not to segments. No hype words. No "revolutionary," no "game-changing," no exclamation marks doing the work that arguments should do.
We do: write the way a friend would explain it over coffee.
We don't: sound like every other DTC brand on the timeline.
Honest specs, honest limits.
The AI is good. It is not magic. If transcription struggles with strong accents in a noisy room, we say so before you buy. Bad expectations are worse than a hard answer.
We do: document where the product is weakest.
We don't: claim Reetle replaces a professional human transcriber for legal or medical work.
Considered, not first.
We would rather ship a smaller batch we are proud of than rush a bigger one we are nervous about. Drop tests, fit checks, packaging. They all get the same attention as the firmware.
We do: hold a release if the recessed-screen tolerance is 0.2 mm off.
We don't: hit a date by sacrificing build quality and patching it in firmware later.
Small batches on purpose.
The first European batch is small because we want every unit to land well. Quality first. Scale when the second wave proves the first one worked.
We do: tell waitlist members the real allocation before pre-orders open.
We don't: manufacture fake countdown timers or "only 3 left" tricks.
Additive, never replacement.
Reetle is not trying to compete with your phone, with Notion, with your Kindle, with your coach, or with the way you already work. It is a hub that adds one quiet layer on top of the stack you already chose. If it stops adding value, take it off. The four-corner lock has a side-release groove for a reason.
We do: integrate with the tools you already pay for (export to email, plain text, PDF).
We don't: build lock-in. The data is yours, removable from the app in one tap.
