1. Agreement to terms

These terms govern your use of reetle.eu, operated by the Reetle team (the "Site", "we", "us"). By visiting the Site, joining the waitlist, or interacting with any of its pages, you accept these terms in full. If you do not accept them, do not use the Site.

2. What we offer

Today the Site is a waitlist for Reetle, an AI E-Ink hub that snaps onto an iPhone. Joining the waitlist gives you a place in line and a single welcome email. When pre-orders open, we will email you once. After that, we will only email you about the launch.

We will add commerce (pre-orders, payments, shipping, warranty, returns, refunds) before the device ships. When that happens, these terms will be updated and you will be notified.

3. Eligibility

You must be at least 16 years old to join the waitlist (the minimum age for valid GDPR consent in most EU member states). If you are between 13 and 16, your parent or guardian must agree on your behalf.

4. Your account and the waitlist

The Site does not currently have user accounts. The waitlist is keyed on your email address. We will create proper accounts once commerce ships; until then, joining the waitlist is the only action that records anything against your email.

You can ask us to remove you from the waitlist at any time by emailing support@reetle.eu or by clicking the unsubscribe link in any email we send you.

5. No warranty during the waitlist phase

The Site is provided on an "as is" and "as available" basis during the waitlist phase. We do not warrant that the Site will be uninterrupted or free of errors, that any information on it is accurate at the moment you read it (we try to keep it current), or that the waitlist will result in a pre-order opportunity (it should, but unforeseen things happen).

This section will be updated when the product ships, at which point a product warranty (separate from this Site disclaimer) will apply.

6. Acceptable use

You agree not to:

• Use the Site to send spam, malicious code, or content that breaks any law.
• Attempt to reverse-engineer or interfere with the Site's normal operation.
• Scrape the Site or use automated tools to submit waitlist signups (the honeypot in the email form is there for a reason; tripping it does not get your data into our system).
• Impersonate another person to join the waitlist.

7. Intellectual property

The Reetle name, logo, copy, product photography, and design are owned by the Reetle team. You may share links to the Site freely. You may quote a sentence or two of copy in articles or social posts. Beyond that, please ask before reusing material.

8. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, the Reetle team is not liable for any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages arising from your use of the Site during the waitlist phase. Our total liability to you for any claim arising from the Site is limited to EUR 100, except for liability that cannot be limited under applicable consumer protection law (such as fraud, gross negligence, or claims for death or personal injury caused by negligence).

Nothing in these terms removes or limits your rights as a consumer under EU consumer protection law. Where local law gives you better rights than what is written here, the local law wins.

9. Privacy

How we handle your data is on the privacy page, and the full cookie inventory is on the cookies page. Both are part of these terms by reference.

10. Governing law and jurisdiction

During the waitlist phase, these terms are governed by the law of the EU member state in which the visitor resides, with non-mandatory matters falling under EU consumer protection law. The specific governing law and choice of forum for disputes will be set out in an updated version of these terms before pre-orders open, since that decision depends on where the company is registered for trading purposes (to be confirmed; likely the EU or Hong Kong given the Stripe HK payment infrastructure planned for the commerce phase).

11. Changes to these terms

We may update these terms. The "Last updated" date at the top reflects when the current version took effect. For material changes (anything that affects your rights or obligations, not typo fixes), we will send a one-time email to the waitlist and post a notice on the Site for at least 14 days before the change takes effect.
